FAQ

What is the process for booking sessions?

From the services page, select 'Book Now' and you'll be redirected to our HIPAA compliant system for booking, Practice Better.  You can choose to begin with a free discovery call, or jump right into one of our membership programs!  You can also call directly at area code 614 and phone 285.8685.

Why am I being redirected when I try to book a session or discovery call?

To protect your privacy and health information, I utilize an electronic health management system called Practice Better.  All appointments, chats, and payments are handled through this system.  Upon initiating a discovery call, you will be prompted to set-up an account for security purposes.  It does not commit you to working with me.  It simply allows us to communicate in a HIPAA compliant manner.

How are sessions conducted?

All sessions are conducted over Zoom in a secure HIPAA compliant virtual room.  In-person services are provided on a case-by-case basis.

Do you only offer memberships?

Yes!  Healing is a journey requiring time, dedication, and patience.  All patients start with a three month membership to kick-off their journey.  From there, patients can continue their health journey with a monthly maintenance membership or individual sessions based on their needs.

Do I really need a nutrition genetic test?

Genes are sign-posts that point to potential nutrition weaknesses.  The results of your genetic test help take much of the guesswork out of how to optimize your health, allowing us to plug in the right foods specific to your body.  It's one of the best ways to facilitate healing through nutrition, and a key tool I utilize as a practitioner.

Do you require any additional testing?

Based on your unique situation, additional testing may be recommended to validate nutritional status.  For example, if micronutrient deficiencies are suspected, I will want to check your red blood cell and white blood cell levels to understand the degree of deficiency.  With this information, I can determine if food alone will be enough or if temporary nutritional supplementation may be beneficial.  It also takes the guesswork out of the restoration plan, allowing very targeted nutrition therapy.

Do you accept insurance?

Unfortunately, I am not a participating provider for any insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid.  This allows me to deliver the quality care you need without any directives from insurance companies.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Because the practice is all virtual, credit cards, including FSA and HSA cards, are the only form of payment accepted.
